Brunswick earns the win

BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Junior High School “A” hockey team took on rival Mt. Ararat on Tuesday at Sidney J. Watson Arena at Bowdoin College in the first of five matchups this season.
Five players scored for the Huskies, who picked up a 5-0 victory.
Matt Brooks, Jamison Cyr and Parker Wild scored in the first period for a 3-0 Brunswick lead, and Jacob McGowan upped the advantage to 4-0 in the second. Jamie Kane finished off the scoring midway through the third period.
Brunswick (2-2) goaltenders Devin Allard and Drey Rochette split time for the shutout on nine saves.
Mt. Ararat (2-2) netminder Kyle Welsh had 25 saves.
Brunswick takes on Gorham at Watson Arena on Sunday at 7:40 p.m.
