In girls high school hockey action, Nadia Leiner earned her first varsity victory in goal against Portland on Saturday. Captain Anna Webster led the defense in a 14 – 6 win. Scorers were Colleen McKearney, Madeline Berry, Beth Labbe with 5, Rayna Sage with 3, and Jenna Brooks with 4. The Dragons are now 2 and 1.
The boys high school hockey team dropped a close pre-season match to Camden Hills 3-2. Goals came from Jacob During and Max Burtis.
For the Jr. High School Huskies, The A Team beat Yarmouth 1-0 with a goal from Dolan Pols, assisted by Nick Marro.
The B Team defeated Scarborough 2-1 to move into first place in the Ingalls Division. Goals came from an individual effort by Zach Stern-Hayes and Jayden Lynn, assisted by Brian Connolly.
